Tuesday 9th June – Windsurf **** The Manor at Felixstowe – sunny with squall rain after lunch.

Foil – 18.91 knot max, 17.33 knot ave., 12.21 knot hour, 16.90 knot mile, 29.65 km., 13.14 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 and a Tushingham Bolt 5.75.

The sun returned today and I was keen to get out on the water again after Sundays epic 46 mile session. I decided to head down to The Manor parking at Squiz Lane at 9 with the wind WSW a tad off, also it was wind with tide which is not ideal but with it gusting to at least 20 knots staying upwind should not be a problem. After taking a few weather pics to send to the telly as the sky was a brilliant blue with some top clouds and another large container ship left port too! The foil board was quickly set-up and I rigged my favourite 5.75 which once again proved ideal for a shorter session today! Launching around 9.45 I enjoyed a god blast for about an hour and a half once again doing long runs out to sea slowly heading upwind before doing a mega broad run out to the Wadgate post, the sea was surprisingly lumpy for this direction but it was no problem on the foil. The wind eased close to the shore but you quickly got up and flying again. Getting knackered I decided to call it a day and packed up as the first spots of rain fell on the drive home, the dark clouds then rolled in and the wind was all over the place in the afternoon with a few squally showers but Mag and I still managed lunch in the sunshine in the back garden before visiting an old friend for a nice catch-up chat before walking through the town to the seafront dodging the showers. Then it tipped it down just before 6 so I quickly drove down to the seafront and was treated to a double rainbow to the left of the pier, great it was too, another top day:)
